Design and Illustration by Jessica Croce
animal/human
For my graduate thesis I decided to experiment with creating the polar opposite of the typical animal rights campaign — which often feature gruesome imagery that much of the public often finds offensive. So I created 5 sets of panels that each focus on a characteristic that animals and humans share, which are too often overlooked: Attraction, Culture, Mourning, Obedience and Exploitation (pictured). Each panel is also paired with a logical analogy that both clarifies the message of each panel, as well as encourages the exploration and self-discovery that I believe is necessary if one wants to advocate for change.
